I was elated to find 5X (46-hip/waist depending on how you choose to wear them). I ordered them that way because I'm actually a 40 hip/waist, but I wanted them a little baggy. Never had this issue with the proportions of any other brand of pants. Couldn't even get them up over my thighs. I was willing to compromise on the brand because I just wanted those old Tripp pants back and amazon was the easiest way to go, but they don't even come close. They look like baggy widelegs in the advertisement photos but they are much closer to bootcut (or, at best, flares) than wideleg. Just another expensive purchase to put up onto a shelf to await the day that I'm closer to supermodel proportions. That is literally the only way I'll be able to get them (I repeat ~5Xs~) all the way to my hips.The pockets on these pants are so small they are almost decorative.
