I was curious what in the world this book could possibly be about, and out of mere curiosity I decided to give it a read. It's short, only took a couple hours to read it from cover to cover. It's a tragic story of a little girl who grew up in an abusive family, forced to model and act and participate in beauty pageants. It's heart breaking, but also eye opening. A great read for any mother (or father) who may fear she is going just a tad bit overboard with her expectations for her children. All in all, I am glad I decided to buy it and give it a read. I think you will be too.
